Stephen Smith, ISU agronomy affiliate professor and Seed Science Center visiting scientist, presented a seminar titled “Continuing the Improved Productivity of Maize: Genetic Gain or Genetic Pain?” at the Seed Science Center in April 02 2016.
A former Research Fellow with DuPont Pioneer, Smith conducts research on germplasm access and benefit sharing, variety identification, genetic gain, sustainable use of genetic diversity, and intellectual property protection.
