Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh, India, announced plans to partner with Iowa State University to establish an Andhra Pradesh Seed Research and Technology Business Center and Mega Seed Park in India during a Governor’s Reception held at the World Food Prize October 18 in Des Moines.
The reception was part of a World Food Prize Side Event held at the Marriott Hotel. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and ISU's College of Agriculture and Life Science's Endowed Dean (now ISU President-select) Wendy Wintersteen spoke at the event that highlighted Iowa’s role in food and agriculture innovation.
The Governor’s Reception, which also highlighted three Iowa agricultural startup companies, was organized by Iowa’s Cultivation Corridor and sponsored by the Ames Chamber of Commerce, Greater Des Moines Partnership, Iowa Economic Development Authority and Iowa State University.
