International Food Policy Research Institute
The Program for Biosafety Systems (PBS), managed by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), supports the development and use of biosafety systems to enhance agricultural innovation across the globe through an integrated program of research, capacity development, and outreach. IFPRI-PBS has 15+ years of technical assistance, capacity strengthening, and cultivated partnerships that have facilitated regulatory evaluation of genetically engineered (GE) agricultural products in USAID focus countries across Africa and Southeast Asia.
